Phuket Trip, Day 2

I couldn’t sleep well despite I was extremely tired. While I was trying to hypnotize myself to get into sleep; there were some loud voices coming from the aisle outside. Apparently, a group of gals just arrived the hotel and theirs conversation were so loud that I could hear each and every word clearly.

30 minutes later, they were still talking outside the aisle. Without hesitate, I opened the door and asked them to keep quiet. Well, the gals just stared at me and walked away without a word. I mean, they could talk anywhere they wished but not outside the aisle along the rooms with most of the people were sleeping (it was around 1am in the morning). Sigh…I needed to wake up early in the morning to join another day tour and definitely I was not enough of sleep.

Breakfast time with gals in the morning.

On the way to Phang Nga, a place which close to Krabi province and after the trip, I realised that we could go to Krabi by bus instead of boat. According to the tour guide; if travel to Krabi by bus, the transportation fees is much cheaper than by speed boat.

It took not more than 2 hours to reach Phang Nga; a place where we went for our white water rafting. The tour including white water rafting (insurance is included), waterfall relaxing, elephant trekking, oxcart riding, jungle hikking, elephant and monkey show.

The normal rate of the white water rafting including the elephant trekking and etc is around 2,800 THB ( MYR 280). however, due to there were 7 of us; Patrick, KP and YL managed to bargain for a good rate. Each of us paid MYR 100 for the whole day trip; good job, guys.

Frankly, I have no idea what were they doing there. Training, perhaps. But, there was no training provided for us. The safety instruction was given instead.

7 of us posting in front of the camera before we put our life jackets on and go for the white water rafting.

Maximum 6 persons on a boat, including 2 guides who guide the boat in front and back.

The duration of the white water rafting is around 1 hour plus. Right after the rafting, we went for a waterfall. Due to we hired a "professional" video taker; none of us brought our camera to the waterfall as the video taker followed each of us everywhere. All we needed to do was- smile to the camera!!! End of the tour, we paid RM 100 to the video taker for the videotape.

After lunch, it was the time for 4 wheels motorbike riding.

With the tour guide. She was the one who accompanied us from beginning till the end of the tour. A friendly and helpful tour guide. Guess what? She is staying in Krabi province and travel to Phuket everyday; just to work.

With KP posting in front of the camera before the ride.

The ang mohs. Well, since it was a peak season; during the daytrip, only 7 of us were from Asean, the rest were all from Italy, Australia, USA...

After the ride, it was the time for oxcart riding.

Me, Jane and YL were on the same oxcart.

Again, 7 of us.

Elephant trekking with Jane. Frankly, if you would like to have a good view with lovely plantation surrounding while you go for the elephant trekking, I strongly recommend- Chiang Mai, an ideal place to go for elephant trekking as you may see the view and the plant surroudings are far more attractive than those in Phuket. The duration of the elephant trekking in Chiang Mai (Maeng Ping river side) is longer, it takes around two hours.

And then... Patrick was terrified by the elephant trunk. After the incident, I just realised that there was actually more than one camera shooting Patrick's reaction.

A closer look. Haha.

At night, time for the luxury seafood dinner. This time we ordered lobster to eat. Here we go for the pic...

Coconut drink for each of us.

Lobster of the day. Emm...dun judge on the pic, the size of the lobster was bigger than the one showing here. The cost of the lobster itself was RM 150, after discount. Well, I would say, the lobster was fresh and tasty, Yummy, yummy.

Tomyam again

Crabs fried with curry. I like this dish very much.

Another crabs of the day. Crabs with chili. The Thai guy introduced this dish to us. However, i found crabs cooked with curry were much better.

Big fresh baked prawns.

After the dinner. We went for a walk in the night market and Thai massage. Talking about the massage, I was actually had a bad foot massage experience on the night itself. Yak...

Well, my favourite. The art of soap sculp. I had one myself which bought in Chiang Mai 3 years ago and it still well-keep in my cupboard.
