Chatuchak also known as Jatujak covers an area of 35 acres. According to the tour guide it is the world’s largest weekend market selling wide range of products under the sun. Definitely, it is a “must go” market while visit in Bangkok. The range of products includes religious artifacts, antiques, household accessories, handicrafts, CDs, clothes, flowers, accessories… It only opens during every weekend and Sunday from 9.00 am to 6.00pm. It contains more than 15,000 shops or stalls and more than 200,000 visitors visit there each day.
At Chatuchak, the prices of the products are much cheaper compare to those shopping complexes. However, bargaining is needed in order to get a product in a cheaper price. While shopping in Chatuchak, do not try to bargain for a good price by shop from stall to stalls due to the market is so big that you will have no time or no energy to walk back to the previous stall.
Due to it is an open market, Chatuchak is always hot and humid during the day. As such, it is recommended to have a walk in Chatuchak during morning, so it is a bit cooler. Since we were tired and unable to wake up as per our scheduled time; we managed to get to Chatuchak around 11.00am. Due to Chatuchak covers a big area, it is recommended to have a “Chatuchak's Map” on hand. The map is available at information centre, somewhere located in one of the entrances.
I like this pic because the background of this pic is filled with lovely flowers. And, Jayne and me still looking "fresh".
Me and Candice.
While Jayne and Candice are busy bargaining for a good price, i take a quick shoot in the bra stall.
We spent plenty of times here due to the products here were very nice and cheap.
Besides that, the owner of the stall is friendly.
During the day, it was hot and humid. Me and my sista looked kinda tired after an hour of walk in Chatuchak.
